As the commercial arm of the Motor Sports Association, International Motor Sports Ltd is the leading motor sport event organiser in the United Kingdom.

About

International Motor Sports (IMS) is a wholly owned subsiderary of the Motor Sports Association (MSA), responsible for the organisation of Britain's flagship motor sport events.

Previously the Major Events and Marketing Department of the MSA, in 2001 the MSA decided to create a separate company to look after its commercial interests.  While the MSA is responsible for the governance and administration of all major forms of motor sports in the UK, controlling the technical and sporting rules across the various disciplines, IMS is charged with the co-ordination and management of events including the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, Wales Rally GB - the final round of the FIA World Rally Championship, and the RACMSA Rally of Scotland - a round of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.

IMS is based in Motor Sports House in Colnbrook, close to Heathrow Airport.
